I put in a non-binding offer – which we can back out simply by saying so. I did this because, take this with a grain of salt, the realtor said there was lots of interest in the property after its price dropped by 20K. I didn’t want anyone to do a lot of work checking into this just to have it bought by someone else. The offer gives us lots of time, currently until Sept 15, to get everything together, and has a parish-vote, township approval, etc, built into it.
Could be property values drop after covid and this was all foolhardy. Could be that values increase and then we really scored. Economists are split on this.
