Project Mexico

NOTE!!!  Early bird registration deadline is December 15.  Registering before that date gets you $100 off.

Every summer we send a team down to St. Innocent Orphanage near Tijuana, Mexico in order to build a home for a family in need.  We partner with Project Mexico and St Innocent Orphanage to organize the annual trip.  You can read more about how the trip works on their Homebuilding Page.

We like to take pictures on these trips, so here’s the photo stream from our 2023 trip and also from June 2024, and also 2025.  As you’ll see in the pictures, we also do some sightseeing and touristy stuff in Mexico and San Diego as part of the experience.

This coming year, 2026, our trip will be from June 2nd to June 9th.  Here is the link to signup for the trip.  To signup you’ll need to make a $100 deposit on the total ($900 per person).  You’ll also need a passport number, so if you haven’t gotten your passport yet, just use a fake number until you get your real one so that you can finish the signup process.  (but make sure to start that application for your passport if you haven’t yet.)

Besides the building fee that goes to Project Mexico, there is also the flight and the van rental to pay as well, so the total per person ends up being nearer to $1500.   However, there is a “FORCE” scholarship that will pay for half the fee, and also we can usually find a donor that would help someone who would like to go but can not afford it.

Father Joshua arranges the details of the trip, so talk to him if you are signing up or if you have any questions.
