Holy Ascension Builder Information page –  Sources

We list some of the companies below since they have already done work on a very similar church for the same church designer and have proven themselves competent for the work.  However, many of them are quite a distance away, so if if you know of a trustworthy and competent nearer option in these specializations, that would be even better.  Even so, you may find these useful as a resource.

This list is a work-in-progress, more updates to come.

As far as pricing some of these materials goes, because we are a 501-C we can avoid paying sales tax.

Stone:

We have not committed to anything, but we have started to talk to Friendship Brick and Stone, and are looking at stone patterns such as this one.

Block:

The exterior walls have been designed to use insulated NRG blocks.  The interior walls will use normal CMU.

Dome:

Previous builders on these churches have noted that it’s cheaper to order a dome rather than construct one on-site.  One such company that has been used successfully is RadiusTrackHere is a quote from RadiusTrack for all the domes for our church given to us in July 2025.

Roof:

A company that specializes in the in the type of specialized roof/cross/gutters in the plans is Spengler Industries in Salt Lake City, with William Verlander as the installer.  They have worked on similar churches for our church designer in the past.

Timberframing:

One company that has done this exact sort of work before for this same church designer is Mid-Atlantic Timber Frames in Pennsylvania.  Here is a quote from them for all the timber-framing work.

Finish wood-working:

Here is a quote from Vintage Millwork for all the doors, rails, staircases, etc.

ICF foundation:

We have been looking at companies like Nudura for the ICF component.

Plastering:

The plastering is specialized because it’s an engineered lime-mix with a sponged finish. One such company that did a great job is WW Plastering and Construction of Buffalo, West Virginia.

Precast Vendor:

A reliable source for doing the Precast works is Great Lakes Cast Stone of Girard, PA.
